This is one of the first speakers from Anker that includes built-in LED lights. But how does it sound? Surprisingly awesome! The SoundCore Flare has impressive all-around sound. This is important to keep in mind if you plan to use the speaker outside.
I like that Anker has a toggle for this feature as some people will prefer it, while others will not. The speaker has great bass performance which can be enhanced further by sitting it close to a wall or on a shelf. When out in the open in the center of a room or at in the yard, for examplebass performance diminishes somewhat, but the lows are still pronounced. The bass is not as strong as what you might find on the Sony SRS-XB31 speaker, but that speaker costs twice as much or more.
The cylinder design allows everyone gathered around the Flare to enjoy the music. The degree designs means that the speaker will sound better placed towards the center of the room or an outdoor gathering.
The LED light ring, which is one of my favorite features, is on the bottom of the speaker and shines down on the surface it is setting on. I found that I could squeeze about 10 hours out of this speaker to get me through the work day. The SoundCore Flare not only sounds great, it looks great too!

You should be able to perform a soft reset by pressing and holding the power button for 4 seconds when in a powered off state. I understand firmware can be updated probably unrelated but am I right thinking it needs hooking up to a laptop etc to do this?

There is an aux port and a few USB ports. I would go with the following as even though the FM ones are good, you could have interference when crossing between regions with similar radio frequencies…. I tried them briefly before Christmas and worked well. Today I tried them again but only the right is working. The ebay seller originally purchased them from amazon. The right earbud sounds great. Any help is appreciated as I am really determined to get the left to work.
First things first, charge up the case and the earbuds fully. Take out right earbud and tap the side 4 times wait about 5 seconds and put back into case Step 2. Same as step 1 but with left side earbud.
Once the buds have started this or are red reconnect to Bluetooth and listen away. For me, I keep attempting to reset the right one but it never goes red or blinks in a breathing way. If these are what you have the reset is different. I had to read the manual because all I could find online was for the other versions. To reset these hold the button on each for 5 seconds until the light flashes red.
Then hold the button on each for 8 seconds until the light turns pink. Air did not work now. Since we have 2 versions for this headphone, could you please check if the serial number is printed inside the charging case or attached via a sticker on the USB charging cable?

Depends on charging plug used, but generally an hour and a half to two hours. Make sure both earbuds light up when placed inside the case and its charging. Cool, will give it a go. These worked fine this morning, but now I have the same issue. Tried multiple times, left them in the case for a while, and tried again.
They appear to pair, but only the right one works. Also, I see the left earbud separately when I try to pair them. The instructions may be different than what was included with your unit.
Normally the left earbud connects to the right earbud automatically when you take both of them out of the charging case. Please take the earbuds out of the charging case, then hold the button on the right earbud only for 5s to see if the left earbud has a red indicator to be turned off. If there is no light, it means the left earbud did not pair with the right earbud. You can try to recover their pairing relationship in the following way:.

The only way to see the pink lights, I need to release and hold the buttons again for 5 sec. However, at this point, I must be just turning the earbuds off. Any ideas? SZak schwarck I have not been able to resolve the same issue. When i take my earbuds out, without them being connected to my phone, The right earbud flashes slowly, and the left ear flashes quickly… Which is the exact opposite of what the manual says they should do….
Take the earbuds out of the charging case, press and hold the multi-function button on both earbuds for 5 seconds until the LED indicator flashes pink, release the button when the LED indicator turns off. Used to work fine out of the box. I got my issue taken care of through emailing their support line. They gave me these following instructions.
However long you hold them after taking out of the case they only ever flash white. So first time to power off works. Mine say to shut the headphones off while outside the case. Then put them back into the case, and wait for the white led to turn on. Then, with the headphones still in the case, push the button on each until you get the red flashing light.
At that point, take them out of the case and set them next to each other. If the leds are flashing correctly, left slowly blinking and right blinking quicker, then turn bluetooth on your device on, and search for the Liberty Neo, and select pair.
